Rosie Perez (b. 1964) is an actor perhaps best known for her breakout roles in two Spike Lee films: Do the Right Thing (with Ruby Dee) and White Men Can't Jump. She also served as a co-host on The View during its 18th season, from 2014 to 2015.
In 2015, Perez appeared with Animal at the Kennedy Center Honors performing a re-enactment of Rita Moreno's rendition of "Fever" on The Muppet Show in episode 105.
In 2022, Perez appeared in a Sesame Street Word of the Day video with Grover.
Her other credits include Untamed Heart (with Marisa Tomei), Peter Weir's Fearless (with Jeff Bridges), Penny Marshall's Riding in Cars with Boys (with Drew Barrymore), and the DreamWorks animated feature The Road to El Dorado (scored by Hans Zimmer).
