Rosita's New Friends is a 1994 Sesame Street book featuring Rosita.
The book tells the story of Rosita, who has just moved to Sesame Street from Mexico with her family. She's in Mrs. Green's class with Ernie, Bert, Cookie Monster, Big Bird, Oscar the Grouch, Mary, and Elmo.
It is show-and-tell day, to which everyone brings something special to show and Rosita teaches the class how to say the words of the stuff they bought to school in Spanish.
Big Bird brings a book to show and tell and the Spanish word for book is Libro; Bert brings a pencil to show and tell to which the Spanish word for pencil is Lapiz; Oscar the Grouch brings in his lamp to which the Spanish word for lamp is Lampara; Mary shows her new tooth that is growing in her mouth to which the Spanish word for tooth is Diente; Elmo brings in a new box of crayons to which the Spanish word for crayons is Lapices De Color.
Rosita brings in tacos for everyone to eat to which the Spanish word for tacos is tacos because Spanish doesn't have a name for it. At the end Mrs. Green is impressed on how much Rosita has taught the class on Spanish and the gang welcomes her as a new friend.
