"Row, Row, Row Your Boat" is a traditional nursery rhyme. The repetitive simple song lends itself easily to both singing in a round and parody lyrics.
Sesame Street[]
- Don Music has trouble remembering the last word to the song, and eventually rewrites the whole thing as "Drive, drive, drive your car" in a Sesame Street sketch.
- Grover, Herry Monster and Cookie Monster sing the song in Bert & Ernie Sing-Along.
- Three kids sing "Row, Row, Row Your Boat" as a round in "Elmo's World: Singing."
- Zoe, Rosita and Lulu sing a round of "Row, Row, Row Your Boat" in Episode 3983.
- In a Play with Me Sesame episode, Grover tries to sing the song but can't get the lyrics right while Prairie Dawn plays the piano. He manages to get it right in the end and Bert and Ernie join in.
- Hansel and Gretel sing "Row, Row, Row Your Boat" as a round in a 2015 web video.
The Muppet Show[]
The frogs performed by Richard Hunt in the Muppet Glee Club sing an excerpt of "Row, Row, Row Your Boat" during the cacophonous moments before the group settles on "Temptation" in The Muppet Show episode 101.
Muppet Babies[]
- On the Muppet Babies episode Musical Muppets, Baby Bunsen invents a bouncing ball so that Baby Beaker can follow on-screen words and meep "Row, Row, Row Your Boat".
