Nephew was a smaller version of Rowlf who appeared on the January 9, 1964 episode of The Jimmy Dean Show. In his first and only sketch, he recited a poem for Jimmy Dean in which he forgets Jimmy's name and calls him Jimmy Durante, Jimmy Stewart, Dizzy Gillespie, among others.
According to Rowlf, Nephew is a "goofy lookin' kid," despite the obvious family resemblance. When Jimmy questioned why his name is Nephew, Rowlf replied, "What am I gonna call him, 'Niece'?"
