Rufus is a "kindly old hound," who needs all the medications that he needs to enjoy his golden years. He is featured on the game show, "Swift Wits," as seen in the UK Spot in episode 204 of Muppets Tonight. Playing for the dog's life is the elderly Arthur Modell. Miraculously, Arthur quickly gave the correct answer to Snookie Blyer, which was "The Battle of Hastings," and saved Rufus's life. Unfortunately, Rufus and Arthur's lives were shortlived after Big Mean Carl ate both of them anyway.
