Ruth (Sesame Street)

Ruth is the friend of a singing cowgirl from the Sesame Street song "Tall Tale." The cowgirl states Ruth gave her a magic ring, which makes people who tell tall tales disappear. She uses it on Johnny Cash and Noel Cowherd, who vanish in a puff of smoke.

Although only mentioned in the song and not seen, an animated version of her appears in the version released on Kids' Favorite Country Songs.
