Sally appears in the "Cookie's Crumby Pictures" production of When Cookie Met Sally. She is a caricature of Meg Ryan from the film.
She and Cookie Monster initially meet on a car ride, when Cookie Monster makes a mess of the fastidious Sally's car. Years later, they meet again at a New York City deli, where Cookie barges through the line to the counter. Sally helps him come up with strategies to help him wait his turn. They bond over lunch and become friends, devouring their dessert cookie in the same, monster way.
