Samuel Y. Gibbon, Jr. was a producer for Sesame Street in season 1. His other credits with CTW include The Electric Company (producer in season 1, executive producer in seasons 2 and 3) and creator of 3-2-1 Contact.
Gibbon previously worked on Captain Kangaroo.
On October 20, 2006, Gibbon received the Corporation for Public Broadcasting's Fred Rogers Award for "excellence in educational media".
