Inconsistencies we've found in scripts as part of the project described at Thread:253692
Changes from script to broadcast version
- Episode 3214: script says "Sammy the Snake" song is the original, season 3 bit, but video footage confirms it's the Carol Channing song.
- Episode 1090: Script has a "Kermit News" bit at beginning. Noggin and CTW Archive doc from UMD have an E&B bit in its place.
- The script for Episode 1259 has a completely different street story from what ended up airing. The script's plot involved Oscar meeting Bruno and deciding to have his trash can moved to a different spot. While Bruno does appear in the episode as aired, he's only in one scene, which wasn't in the script. The episode's plot as broadcast ended up involving Big Bird wanting to be an animal trainer.
- The script for Episode 0099 features a plot about Mr. Hooper's birthday, but the aired version of the street scenes are drastically different. Many of the segments are the same, but in the wrong order and a different Buddy and Jim segment.
- The script for the Victor Borge segment first appearing in Episode 1178 calls for him to be playing the "Sesame Street Theme", but he's not.
- Episode 0664: Some details in Scenes 3 and 4 are changed; Scene 6 features The Count instead of Charming
Episode and season numbers
- Episode 1597 and Episode 1736 cite "Madrigal Alphabet"'s first appearance as Episode 0619, but the script for Episode 0619 lists "Jazz Alphabet (1:21)"
- Episode 3537: Script says "Grover Heavy & Light" sketch appears in episode. Video reference confirms Two-Headed Monster skit in its place.
- Scripts from season 19 and on cite the Kermit News "J Mine" segment as coming from season 18. The scripts for Episode 2302 and Episode 2322 (both from season 18) cite it as coming from season 17. No season 17 script includes the segment.
- All script references to Kermit News "Cinderella: Fairy Godmother" cite season 19 as it's origin, but no season 19 script acknowledges the first appearance (although the eka is 2442)
- "The Ballad of Casey McPhee": Season 13 scripts say first appearance is Episode 0516, while Season 10 scripts say Episode 0533.
- Script for Episode 0551 lists "Kermit News Three Little Pigs" with a first appearance of 462, but the script for Episode 0462 has "Kermit Rapunzel" penciled in.
- Season 13 scripts cite different firsts regarding Episode 1447:
- Episode 1683 cites Warren Wolf segment first appearing in #1447
- Episode 1659 cites "Alphabet Time (The Surgeon's Song)" first appearing in Episode 1505
- Script for Episode 1593 cites Victor Borge / Oscar bit first appearing in Episode 1181, while Episode 1295 script cites itself as first use of it
- "None Some All": some scripts cite first use as Episode 0585, others cite Episode 0615
- Script for Episode 1745 cites File:Film.Dragonkite.jpg as first appearing in Episode 0806, but our guides have (EKA: Episode 0470).
- Script for Episode 1745 claims the (original) powder version of Number Three Ball Film appeared in Episode 0744, but our video copy of 0744 confirms it as the first appearance of the cherry version.

Notes
- The scenes described in CTW guides seem to indicate that those researchers weren't watching a final cut of the episode after all. In cases where their descriptions also don't match the script, it's possible they were using early script drafts. (i.e. 0671 and 0705)
Other
- Filename and header of Episode 4124 is credited to Molly Boylan, but the "writer" field on the second page credits Joey Mazzarino. (it's probably Boylan, as ASCAP credits her for "You Can Do It if Trash Can")
- Episode 1781: script missing bits between Scene 2 and "L-Lake" too, but there's no jump in item numbers.
