Dr. Sanjay Gupta (b. 1969) is an American neurosurgeon, writer and medical reporter who serves as Chief Medical Correspondent for CNN.
On March 15, 2012, Gupta appeared alongside Miss Piggy on Anderson Cooper's short-lived TV-show Anderson, both guests offering their opinion on Botox.
On April 25, 2020, Gupta co-hosted the CNN town hall special The ABCs of COVID-19 along with Erica Hill, and Sesame Street's Big Bird. The special also featured a variety of other characters from the show. Along with two more specials under this title, he co-hosted The ABCs of Back to School and The ABCs of COVID Vaccines.
After Gupta received the COVID-19 vaccine on the show New Day,[1] he wore an Elmo plastic bandage, and held a plush toy of the little red monster.
