Savion is a hip young guy seen on Sesame Street from Season 22 to Season 26. He and Gina were close in age, and the two were friends. In Episode 3140 after getting a nasty phone call from somebody who saw Savion and Gina hanging out together, they explained to Telly Monster that some people have problems with people of different races being friends.
Savion frequently danced on the show. He also helped teach Elmo how to tap dance.
On one episode, Big Bird and Snuffy were wondering what Savion was going to be when he grows up while seeing him tap dance all the time. Snuffy thought maybe he'll be a mailman and Big Bird thought he would be a medical doctor, and both of them thought that whichever one it would be if he would always tap dance while he's on the job. When they asked him what he wants to be when he grows up, Savion said a "tap dancer."
