- In a 2014 video for Entertainment Weekly, Elmo hosts the Elmy Awards, in which the nominees are parodies of various TV shows, including Scandal. Elmo spoofs Olivia Pope, while Cookie Monster comes to him with increasingly absurd political crises, dramatically declaring, "Oh, what scandal!" each time.
- The Muppets appeared with several Scandal stars, including Washington, Katie Lowes, Guillermo Diaz, Scott Foley, and Joshua Malina, in promo spots for their 2015 series, one of which featured Miss Piggy dressed up as Olivia Pope.
