Scooter is a young Muppet kid with glasses for eyes and a green Muppet Show jacket. He is the Muppet Show's 'gofer'; Kermit hired him to go-fer coffee and go-fer sandwiches. Scooter usually gets his way because his uncle J.P. Grosse owns the theater.
Scooter is one of the more responsible Muppet characters. He usually rushes around backstage, trying to help wherever he can. He's often found riding a skateboard or a bicycle.
Scooter made his debut on The Muppet Show in 1976. Although he was around since the first (production) episode, his introduction episode was Episode 106: Jim Nabors. Scooter's television appearances include The Muppet Show, The Muppets Go Hollywood, John Denver and the Muppets: A Christmas Together, The Muppets Go To The Movies, The Fantastic Miss Piggy Show, John Denver and the Muppets: A Rocky Mountain Holiday, The Muppets: A Celebration of 30 Years, A Muppet Family Christmas, The Muppets At Walt Disney World and The Muppets Celebrate Jim Henson.
Baby Scooter was a main character on the animated series Muppet Babies. He was a computer nerd and had a twin sister named Skeeter.
Scooter's movie appearances include The Muppet Movie, The Great Muppet Caper, The Muppets Take Manhattan, Muppets From Space, It's a Very Merry Muppet Christmas Movie and The Muppets' Wizard of Oz.
Scooter was created by Richard Hunt. Scooter's voice and personality were based on Richard's when he was younger.
