Unused/Aired Later[]
The information for the following segments are listed in either episode scripts or the "First Season Show Content" document housed at the CTW Archives. Some of them were unused, while others aired in later seasons.
Unused Segments[]
The following segments are listed as part of the "first season show content", but do not appear to be used in any episodes of the show.
- "A" Cheer
- Carol Burnett "J" Tag
- A.M. "K" Cheer #3
- Alphabet Banner (Skywriting) (used in Sesame Street Test Show 4)
- Same Height
- Awake
- Hi-cam Egg
- Hi-cam Milk
- Bob - "Nearly Missed"
Notes[]
- Many of the films, including "Hey Cow," "B Painting," "Wheels," "Where," and "The Farm" would later be shortened, while others are revised using the same footage. For example, portions of the film "Beginnings" were later re-edited into "A Little Bit (at the Beginning) (First: Episode 0160)," while a four-minute sequence about life on the farm that never aired was shortened and re-edited as the "On the Farm" song (First: Episode 0138).
- Some scripts where "Dot Bridge #1" is repeated, count the second occurrence of #1 as #2, shifting the numbering of each subsequent segment up, labeling the sixth segment as #7.
- The sketch titled in official CTW documents as "Kermit & Brian, Close & Far" features in actuality a girl named Tracy.
- The "Up and Down" song was re-recorded for The Sesame Street Book & Record, credited to "Two Monsters" performed by Jim Henson and Frank Oz. In season two, the album version would be used on the show proper with Cookie Monster and an early Herry Monster lip-synching to the track. (First: Episode 0154)
- A re-taped version of Oscar singing "Happiness..." would later air in season 2. (First: Episode 0148)
- "Ernie Drinks Milk," "Ernie Finishes," "Ernie Pours," and "Ernie Tag" are marked on official CTW Archives documents with "Re-do" suggesting that the segments might have been re-taped for later seasons. However, there is no evidence suggesting that the pieces were remade.
