Premiere Late 2020 (5101)

Sesame Street’s 51st season will premiere on HBO Max in late 2020. Production began on January 13, 2020.[1] All but one week of planned taping was fulfilled before regular production was halted due to the COVID-19 pandemic. New "Cookie Monster's Foodie Truck" segments were to have been taped during the last week of shooting.[2]

Celebrities

Several celebrities visited the set during production of season 51, some of whom will feature as guest stars. Celebrities who visited the set during production of the season include: Kelsea Ballerini,[3] Stephen and Ayesha Curry,[4] Billy Porter,[5] Issa Rae,[6] Maggie Rogers,[7] and Hailee Steinfeld.[8]
