Sesame Place San Diego is a Sesame Street theme park in California, which opened on March 26, 2022. It is the sister park to Sesame Place Philadelphia.

The park was initially planned to open in 2021, according to a 2019 press release.[1] Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, construction slowed and the park opening was delayed until 2022.[2]

The Count's Splash Castle[]

The original attraction seen here, converted from two existing Aquatica attractions, was demolished at the end of the 2022 season and replaced with a newer, larger Splash Castle in the 2023 summer season.[3]

Other shopping areas include Sesame Souvenirs near the park's entrance, Photos with Elmo & Friends at Sesame Street Neighborhood, Park Photos near Cookie's Monster Mixer, and 123 Trade with Me at the Sesame Street Theater.

Elmo and Nick Manna, Vice President of Entertainment did a satellite tour in promotion for the park. Some segments featured interaction with the hosts, while some segments were pre-taped.
