In 1992, Golden Press published a Sesame Street Lace-Ups "Neighborhoods" activity book, containing five lacing cards and objects that can be laced together to form pictures. The completed pictures featured Big Bird as a firefighter, Bert as a mail carrier, Elmo as a teacher, Betty Lou as a police officer, and Ernie as a veterinarian.
The illustrations were made by Kathy Spahr.
