American Apparel is the largest clothing manufacturer in the United States. In 2009 and 2010, the company sold a line of Sesame Street clothes and tote bags to coincide with the show's 40th anniversary. The line, which was sold internationally, featured both photos and illustrations of a great variety of characters.
