Street Stories[]

Picture Episode Description
0048 excerpt 2
Episode 0048 Scene 3 & 4 After Seeger sings "Abiyoyo," Gordon follows the sound of hiccupping to Oscar's trash can where he finds that every time Oscar the Grouch hiccups, he hits his head on the lid of his can. Gordon says he can cure the hiccups by going for a walk in the fresh air, but Oscar would rather bathe. Still, he says he'll think about it.

The scene continues after the "Song of Nine" where Oscar's walk takes him to Ernie at a Limbo wall. Calling himself the world's foremost leading hiccup curer, Ernie tells Oscar to hold his breath while he counts to ten for him. He stalls by clearing his throat and fumbling through the numbers, forgetting what comes after eight even when Bert comes by and says he picked up nine loads of laundry from the laundromat at 999 Sesame Street, nine blocks up the street.

0702 02 truncated
Episode 0702 The second street scene features an extended portion in which Maria — having previously been at odds with Luis over the kinds of jobs women can do — passes Luis on her way to work. Having had some time to process new information and cool down from the excitement of a new job, they apologize to one another and agree that working people need to stick together. The dialogue is present in the script, but the scene in the final cut of the episode breaks away as soon as Maria confronts Luis in front of the Fix-It Shop.

Episode 0839 The script for this episode includes a deleted scene with Rodeo Rosie having a snowball fight in the yard. In the proposed scene, Rosie brags about being the best snowball fighter, though Susan and Maria are skeptical. To prove it, Rosie bombards the others with thousands of snowballs.

Picture Production Description
