Ideal Toys made a Sesame Street night lighting mat in 1987. The floor mat sits next to a child's bed, and automatically turns on the lights when the child steps on it. The lights stay on for five minutes, and then gradually dim.
The mat is decorated with an image of the Sesame characters holding their comfort objects -- Big Bird has Radar, Ernie has Rubber Duckie, Bert holds a teddy bear, and Cookie Monster has a chocolate-chip cookie.
