Sherlock Hubbard is the husband of Old Mother Hubbard and father of Heather in the Mother Goose Stories episode "Mother Hubbard." Sherlock, a spoof of Sherlock Holmes, is a somewhat dotty man who works as a detective.
When working, Mr. Hubbard wears the typical Sherlockian deerstalker and Inverness cape, and carries a magnifying glass. With the help of the family dog, Barkley, he solves cases all over town (although Barkley does most of the work).
After solving "the case of the stolen diamond," Sherlock helped his wife try to locate a missing bone for Barkley.
