Sherry Contrary is a Fraggle who acts as a co-commentator and rival to her old friend Barry Blueberry in Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock.
First appearing in "The Twisty-Turny-Thon," she returns from her vacation spot at Scoop Falls when it is marred by the gusty winds Fraggle Rock has been experiencing (a result of Doctor Doc's turbine experiments). Like Barry, she has a major ego, as demonstrated when she sings the Fraggles' "national anthem" - despite the fact that nobody asked her to and that the anthem may not really exist. She is also quick to point out Barry's verbal errors and mispronunciations. Ultimately Barry admits that he likes having Sherry around for company, though she quietly reminds Barry that being contrary is her thing, somewhat rattling Barry.
She appears again with Barry in the episodes "The Great Radish Ball" and "Letting Go."
Initially, Sherry was performed with the intention of being dubbed later by Maya Rudolph.[1]
