A Shooting Star appears in the Elmo the Musical segment, "Pizza the Musical."
Pizza Astronaut Elmo musically counts the 10 shooting stars that fly by him as he flies by the moon. However, one shooting star penetrates Elmo's ship. She claims she couldn't help herself; it's in her shooting star nature. She flies off, leaving Elmo to use a pizza slice to repair the damage.
During the song, the shooting star characters are computer-generated characters. The star that penetrates Elmo's ship and appears during the curtain call is a Muppet instead.
The puppet also appeared at the 2022 Sesame Workshop Benefit Gala performed by Kathleen Kim.
