COLD OPEN Oscar the Grouch's "Grouch Guide to the World" has all the same information about Tel Aviv that Itzhak Perlman describes. Its section on the sandy beaches of the city uses actual sand.
This scene was omitted from the 2005 DVD release.

SCENE 1 From Jaffa, Itzhak and two kids play a board game - "Tel Avivial Pursuit," answering trivia questions about the city.
Film A kid wonders how Tel Aviv came to be.
Planning Ahead
Muppets It's a sunny day at the beach, and Bert remembered to bring everything. Ernie, however, only brought an umbrella in case it rains... which it does.
Ernie's dialogue is dubbed in Hebrew.
SCENE 2 Itzhak asks a boy to identify a bakbuk (bottle), named such because of the sound it makes when poured.

SCENE 3 Bonnie Franklin teaches Kippi Ben Kippod how to do a tap step in exchange for learning some Hebrew. When Kippi tries, Bonnie advises him to add some pilpail (pizzaz) to his dancing. Kippi does so and ends up rattling the whole street.
Film Children bring their Uncle Elliot, visiting from America, to the boardwalk of Tel Aviv, wishing to get some ice cream.
Sesame-english-do-you-like-it-apple count
Muppets The Count plans to count apples but, when he's not looking, Cookie Monster sneaks in and eats them. He gives The Count the apple cores to count.
All the dialogue, except for the Count and Cookie's exchanges in the middle, is dubbed in Hebrew.
Film "In Tel-Aviv, it's very hot, so that is why we drink a lot." A song describes how people combat the heat with water.
Cast Bonnie introduces the letter gimmel, which starts gamal (camel).

Muppets In a scene lifted from Rechov Sumsum, Moishe Oofnik shows Kippi his family photo album. Some of the pictures include his mom and dad, his grandfather (the first Oofnik in Israel), his cousin Oscar, Uncle Yuska, and even his own baby picture, which Moishe gets embarrassed by.
Moishe's lines are dubbed into English, making reference to his uncle's upcoming television appearance.
Muppets A group of Anything Muppets sing "Family", switching roles at various points in the song.


SCENE 4 Moishe invites Bonnie to watch his favorite show, “All My Oofniks”. In this episode, Uncle Yuska says polite words to Shmuel while looking for his nephew, as Moishe translates for Bonnie. Shmuel tells him that there's no need to be polite with him. Yuska becomes relived that he doesn’t say those awful words anymore.
Animation An animated man tries to see past some taller men by saying, "S'licha" ("Excuse me").

SCENE 5 Still watching the show, Moishe points out to Bonnie it's time for the show's goodbye song. He explains the lyrics to her and proceeds to watch the song - "Oofnikim anachnu" ("We Are Oofniks").
