Silver is Prairie Dawn's pony in the 1977 Sesame Street short story collection Tales of Sesame Gulch. The faithful Silver is a steed for the Pony Express and appears several times throughout the book, most notably in "Prairie Dawn of the Pony Express." Silver aids Prairie Dawn in her duty to deliver the U. S. Mail, no matter what.

The faithful horse is named after the Lone Ranger's trusty mount, and Prairie even calls him to a stop with "a hearty 'Whoa, there, Silver!'"
