Simonclutterbuck

Simon Clutterbuck worked for Jim Henson's Creature Shop in various capacities, including as a sculptor and in the foam and silicone departments.

Leaving Henson in 1997 (and after a brief stopover working on Babe: Pig in the City), Clutterbuck moved into the digital realm, working at MPC and then Weta Digital. In 2013, he shared in an Academy Awards Scientific and Engineering Award, for the development of the Tissue Physically-Based Character Simulation Framework (used in The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey and other films). Some of his other credits with Weta include the 2005 King Kong, X-Men: The Last Stand, Man of Steel, and Rise of the Planet of the Apes.
