The evolution of Slimey.
|1971-c.1975||Slimey's earliest appearances consist of a solid yellow and orange body operated by two rods. The size and shape would remain mostly consistent throughout the years, but he does not yet have a visible mouth or eyes beginning in his debut in Episode 0202 until at least Episode 0716.|
|A mouth is added to the puppet, as well as some flat, solid black eyes.|
|2000||Slimey's eyes are now a three dimensional convex shape as seen in "Elmo's World: Flowers, Plants & Trees".|
|1974||Slimey is drawn off-model several times in The Sesame Street 1974 Activity Calendar, including his own birthday (September 19th). He's colored pink, closer to the hue of a real worm, and speaks in discernible dialogue. Illustrated by David Gantz.|
|1980||Again, Slimey is drawn off-model, but closer to his live action version. Here, he has Muppet eyes and fewer stripes. Illustrated by Joe Mathieu for The Sesame Street Dictionary.|
