Sofía Vergara (b. 1972) is a Colombian actress best known for her role on Modern Family. Among Vergara's big screen credits are The Smurfs, The Three Stooges, and Soul Plane.
She appeared on Sesame Street to demonstrate the word "baile" with Elmo and some animals in a Season 42 Word of the Day segment.
