Sony Music Studios was a production facility located in New York City. Originally developed as Movietone Studios in the 1920s, the building was later purchased and maintained by Sony. The facilities were primarily used for music recording and mixing, but also had a video production department as well. The building ceased production operation in 2007.
A number of Sesame Street-related productions were produced using the studio. It served as the primary taping location for the special Elmopalooza and the home video The Best of Kermit on Sesame Street. The 2001 album Elmo and the Orchestra was mastered in the facilities. The studios were also credited for post production work for Sesame Street in Seasons 34 through 36.
