A spaniel dog appeared with the Muppets beginning with The Muppet Show. His breed was identified by Dyan Cannon in The Muppet Show episode 404, when she sings "Big Spender". Performed in this appearance by Jerry Nelson, the dog sings with Dyan Cannon after she falls in love with him on sight in a pet store. She still has him with her when Kermit closes the show, suggesting she adopted him as promised.
