Spanishword

For decades Spanish vocabulary and understanding has been a featured part of Sesame Street. Aside from creating all-Spanish co-productions, including Plaza Sésamo (Mexico) and Barrio Sésamo (Spain), many American Sesame Street programs and resource videos have been re-dubbed and distributed within the United Stated for Spanish-speaking audiences.

Why does Sesame Street use Spanish in the program?
Sesame Street tries to convey the message that knowing more than one language is useful and fun, and that all languages are good. We try to teach a few words and phrases that can help make communicating easier.[1]
