Speedy is an ice delivery man who appears in Episode 0931 of Sesame Street.
Working for the Jiffy Ice Company (their slogan: "If it's ice, we have it"), the elderly Speedy wanders all over Sesame Street trying to figure out who ordered a large block of ice on a hot day. He is a bit hard of hearing and calls other people by the wrong name, referring to Luis as "Louise" and Big Bird as "Mr. Berg." In spite of his name, Speedy moves very slowly, though he constantly claims to be rushing around. As a result, by the time he gets to the recipient (Big Bird) the large cake of ice has melted down to a small ice cube.
According to Speedy, larger ice cakes ordered from the Jiffy Ice Co. come in both "family" size (worth $5.00) and "congressional district" size.
