Starship Piggy is a spaceship seen in the 2018 Muppet Babies series.
It first appears in the second season episode of the same name as a drawing Baby Piggy shows to Miss Nanny. However, she's quickly shown up by Baby Kermit who has built a three-dimensional spaceship of his own out of cardboard. Kermit leaves Piggy with the ship while he retrieves a "zippy" drive just as Baby Gonzo shows interest in the space vehicle. Looking to take credit for its construction since it seems to be getting higher praise than her drawing, Piggy passes the craft off as her own. Piggy, Gonzo, and the rest of the babies soon take off on a trip to Zornoopiter to celebrate Zorna's fourth birthday party, leaving Kermit behind to find his "zippy" drive.
In space, the ship's appearance loosely resembles The Swinetrek with a pig snout and feminized eyes on the bow, windows on the main body, and a set of nacelles in the rear. Piggy captains the bridge crew from a centralized chair, but she struggles with how to operate the ship's mechanics. Having taken credit for its construction, Piggy has to fake her way through its operation, singing the transport's praises in song. Once Kermit locates his "zippy" drive and realizes that his friends will be lost in space without it, he sets off on an intercept course in the solo-operated Space Hopper. Worried that Kermit will expose her as a fraud, Piggy claims that the approaching vessel is an alien force and convinces her crew to attempt an escape in a meatballeroid field. Kermit ultimately makes contact in time to take command of the Starship Piggy just as it's being sucked into a black hole space vacuum. Although he designed the ship, he's unable to install his "zippy" drive, but Piggy uses the karate chop skills she honed during her brief command and they manage to break free (the Space Hopper is destroyed during the escape). The activation of the "zippy" drive transforms the ship's color to green with a pair of pupils modeled after Kermit's on the bow.
The Starship Piggy appears in its original pink form again in the season three episode "Moon Muffins". On this expedition, the ship is used to transport the babies to the planet Sweetonia to mine space sugar, the Milky Way River to collect "the creamiest cosmic milk you've ever tasted," and the fizzy soda seas of Planet Gonzo to find some bubble berries. On this last stretch of the journey, the Starship Piggy is shown to be capable of deploying a submersible that resembles the green form of the ship seen in its first appearance.
In "A Merry Litter Christmas", the ship is used again to travel to Planet Gonzo where the babies visit Gonzo's Uncle Norman, a candy cane farmer.
