Steiff monkeys in action on Sesame Street.
Steiff is a German toy manufacturer founded in 1880, known for producing stuffed animals. They claim to have been the first company to create teddy bears.
The company released a set of Muppet plush in 2009 and 2010, and a set of Sesame Street plush in 2020 and 2021.

- Jim Henson briefly demonstrated how to operate a small bear puppet in the 1969 special The Muppets Make Puppets, referring to the company as "Steiff, the people who make the little stuffed dolls, you know."
- Five Steiff monkeys were used in a Sesame Street sketch that has Kermit counting them. One was later seen as "Molly," a dolly in the opera "Wally."
- Altered Steiff dolls were used during the "Munching Forest" fantasy sequence in The Song of the Cloud Forest.
