Stiller the Elf narrates the special Elmo's Christmas Countdown along with his snowball sidekick Stan.
In the tradition of Rankin/Bass Christmas specials and their use of celebrity narrators, Stiller the Elf is a caricature of (and named after) voice actor Ben Stiller. His outfit recalls that of Buddy the Elf from the film Elf.
In the 2008 storybook adaptation of the special, Stiller's role is filled by a generic elf character referred to as "Mr. Elf."
The same puppet would later be used for Doctor Two in Episode 4504.
