Super Grover crashes into Max's Barber Shop in Metro City, where young Willy Nilly refuses to get a haircut (despite his mother's insistence). Willy explains to Super Grover that he thinks it will hurt, and Grover agrees, telling him that he must be brave and smile through the pain. Max calmly points out that haircuts do not hurt at all, demonstrating by cutting a piece of his own hair.
Grover thinks he's a very brave man, and commends young Willy Nilly for his calmness when Max cuts a piece of his hair. Max now turns his scissors towards Super Grover, who cannot bear the idea until he finds a lock of his fur has been cut without him even realizing it. Willy Nilly is ready for his haircut, while Grover decides to go out and tell the world that haircuts do not hurt. While trying to take off, his cape gets caught and then tears, sending him crashing through the doorway. As he parts, he offers some sage advice - "Haircuts do not hurt, but crashing through doors is quite painful."
