She started her theatrical career as a chorus girl in the musical Annie Get Your Gun, 1967. Her breakthrough came in 1976 with the role of Velma Kelly in the musical Chicago. The following years she would appear in other musicals in the Aarhus Theater such as Guys and Dolls, West Side Story, The Sound of Music, Little Shop of Horrors (as Audrey), and many others. She has since appeared in theaters in Copenhagen and at Aalborg theater. Although she are mostly known as appearing in musicals, she has had more serious theater roles as well.
She made her movie debut in the sequel to the very first Western made in Denmark, Guld til præriens skrappe drenge (1971). She has also appeared in two of the so called "sengekants film", light pornographic comedies made in Denmark in the '70s starring famous Danish actors: I tyrens tegn (In the Sign of the Taurus), and I tvillingernes tegn (In the Sign of the Gemini).
Her voice credits include Angelina Ballerina, The Forgotten Toys, Franklin, The Great Mouse Detective, and many others.
Recently she has begun working as a theater director on musicals like like Four Jacks, The Phantom of the Opera and Mamma Mia.
