Sydney is a camel who has been used as an ancillary character on Sesame Street as early as 1976, beginning in Episode 0932. The puppet build has remained mostly the same, save for the use of different eyes. He was finally given a name in two Global Grover segments in 2003.
One of its most prominent appearances was as the starring member of the Fine Young Camels who frontline the song "C Drives Me Crazy."
