"Take the Hand of Someone You Love" is a Sesame Street song about crossing the street. It was sung on the show by Patti LaBelle, backed by The Sweeties. Some live-action sequences made specifically for the segment, as well as a couple of older clips from the show, were also featured to illustrate the song’s lyrics.
The song was later rerecorded by The Oinker Sisters, with an added introduction, for the album Sing-Along Travel Songs.
