Trivia

• At one point in the book, when Kermit doubts letting Miss Piggy do a stunt in the movie with Gonzo, she says that she did all of her own roller skating stunts in The Muppets Take Manhattan, although this is false. A human stunt double was in fact used in place of the Piggy puppet in the roller skating sequence. This is likely an inside joke.
• References to Muppet Movies include the fictional Baseball Diamond from The Great Muppet Caper being stolen in real life. Danvers directly states this. Also, Bunsen points out that the picture of Charles Dickens on the back of A Christmas Carol looks like Gonzo. Danvers points out that Gonzo played Charles Dickens in The Muppet Christmas Carol.
• Seymour from Muppets Tonight makes his first appearance since the show's original run. During the board meeting over the movie, Danvers says that they should notice the elephant in the room. In the picture following this, Seymour is seen eating peanuts in the back of the room. Above him is a speech bubble saying "Hi! I'm Seymour!" Everyone in the room waves and says hi. Pepe the King Prawn has a notably surprised look on his face. This is a reference to the fact that Pepe and Seymour were partners and always seen together on Muppets Tonight.
• Lips makes a cameo appearance, roasting marshmallows by the campfire with Piggy. This is in a drawing mentioning that Beebus put firecrackers in the marshmallows. The marshmallows are seen exploding in Piggy's and Lips' faces.
