Are all the Big Bird album releases of the same version of the song? -- Peter (talk) 17:44, 27 October 2006 (UTC)
- They seem to be. The earliest album versions included a spoken prologue with Gordon and Susan, specially recorded as an intro to the record. Later releases, like Elmo Sings, cut the prologue, but seem to be the same version. It's not always easy to tell with Sesame re-issues, though, without carefully vetting each one, but up until the 90s, at least, they were all identical. -- Andrew Leal (talk) 17:46, 27 October 2006 (UTC)
Second Season?[]
It was said that this song first appeared on The Sesame Street Book & Record before being performed by Big Bird in the second season. However, in the clips that I've seen, it looked to me like the first season Big Bird puppet was used. - No, I just saw the clip in the A&E documentary, and I think it was also included in Sesame Street Unpaved. Maybe I just thought it was the first-season Big Bird because I knew the song was on the first album. --Minor muppetz 00:18, 27 September 2006 (UTC)

- An anonymous user changed it from first to second season back in January. Unless we get an episode number, it's all speculation along the lines of "it looks like season x to me." — Scott (talk) 14:49, 27 September 2006 (UTC)
- The page for Old School: Volume 1 lists this song as a season one bonus segment. I guess that would confirm that this song was performed during the first season. --Minor muppetz 15:17, 21 October 2006 (UTC)

Often?[]
Ralph added that this song is "often" referred to as Abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz. I've actually never seen it referred to that way. I just googled it, and I only found one reference -- warning, there's major pop-ups on that site. I want to take the word "often" out -- and really, my preference would be to take the whole sentence out, because I don't think it's the case. Any comments? -- Danny (talk) 17:35, 28 May 2006 (UTC)
