Are the songs on this CD recorded specifically for it, or are any of the tracks previously recorded? I was curious to see Louise Gold, Mike Quinn and Karen Prell's names listed when they haven't done much with the Muppets lately. Theatrefreak25 06:23, 2 November 2006 (UTC)

All the tracks were recorded in 2005 for the album. -- Brad D. (talk) 07:01, 2 November 2006 (UTC)
I have a feeling (but that's just presuming, of course...) that Mike, Karen, Louise and Jerry didn't work on this album at all. I just don't buy the fact that Jerry Nelson is doing grunt work on a Muppet album while passing Floyd on to someone else. When was the last time we read Mike Quinn or Louise Gold's name in the credits?
Since these are the exact performers that are featured on the Muppet Christmas Carol soundtrack from 1993, my guess is that someone at the company mistakenly copied that list onto the Green/Red Christmas credits. -- 86.91.136.34 02:41, November 2, 2006

Well, the album liner notes simpley credits all the performers like this:

Muppet Performers: Bill Barretta, Dave Goelz, Louise Gold, Eric Jacobson, John Kennedy, Jerry Nelson, Karen Prell, Mike Quinn, David Rudman, Steve Whitmire
I think it's very unlikely that block of text was just accidentally copied over from The Muppet Christmas Carol as it contains people who didn't work on MCC (like Barretta and Jacobson) and doesn't "accidentally" have other people who did (like Frank Oz). Aside from the questionable performers actually recording vocals for the album (the producers might have gotten them to do vocals), the only other plausible way their names are in there would be if vocals of them (say as chickens & penguins) were sampled and used as the basis for creating those accompaniments via a synthesizer processes or something. However we have no source to back up anything other than the liner notes. Whether they were old or newly recorded (or just a typo) is pure speculation without a source (which I doubt we'll get, unless someone who worked first hand on the project is questioned about the issue).-- Brad D. Well, Mike Quinn just responded in a Muppet Central fourm post about his role on the CD. He said:
Interesting.... did I work on this and then was hit over the head and forgot I did it? How funny! I hope I was good. Enjoy the CD anyway everyone!!!

So I guess it was either sampling old vocals or a mistake. -- Brad D. (talk) 19:03, 2 November 2006 (UTC)

Interesting. I was looking forward to hearing "The Man with the Bag" once I saw Jerry was credited on the album, but there's no way that's him doing Floyd. Sounds like Bill, maybe -- though looking at the Floyd article it says it was John Kennedy (source?). Powers 20:30, 7 December 2006 (UTC)
