As with many of the Sesame Street human characters, Alan needs help! True, he hasn't been there from day one like Bob and Susan, but going into his ninth season as a regular, can more than a paragraph be said about him? How does he differ from previous Hooper's Store owners? Does anyone recall how he was introduced? Does he have any hobbies or interests outside of the store? What are his specialties as cook at Hooper's?

Outside of watching current episodes, a good source might be to check the What links here tool. Is there info on Alan in the episode guide? What have been his most memorable moments or notable contributions to street storylines? Andrew Leal (talk) 04:00, 25 July 2006 (UTC)

Well his first episode was a dedication episode, as it contained a message saying: "This season is dedicated in loving memory of Jeff Moss." Glickmam 09:14, 12 February 2007 (UTC)
That was Episode 3786. — Scott (talk) 15:40, 12 February 2007 (UTC)
Well the reason that there's hardly any information about him is because he has a very hard time getting any character development. Between the shorter slates of episodes per season and the overall shrinkage of screen time for the human characters, Alan can't really get any screen time. Glickmam 07:40, 4 March 2007 (UTC)
