name[]
There's a mobster in Robert Anton Wilson's Illuminatus! trilogy (1975) named Don Federico "Banana Nose" Maldonado. (Spelled like that -- "Banana Nose" as two words, and "Maldonado" rather than "Moldenado".) Think it's reasonable to consider these novels as the source of this Muppet's name? --GrantHarding 15:35, 31 October 2007 (UTC)
- Wow, great find! Yeah, I can't imagine that's a coincidence. —Scott (talk) 17:40, 31 October 2007 (UTC)
- In that case, should we change the spelling of the Muppet's name? Or was it cited as Moldenado on-screen? (Maybe even in Little Muppet Monsters, when his animated counterpart appeared?) --GrantHarding 17:55, 31 October 2007 (UTC)
- No, in both cases, the name is spoken, but not printed on-screen, so we've been going by phonetics. I'd support a move under the circumstances. -- Andrew Leal (talk) 22:25, 31 October 2007 (UTC)
