Is Barkley still a character on Sesame Street? Some people (on YouTube, e.g.) seem to believe that he's not around anymore. I found a reference to him being in a Elmo segment in 2005, but how about recently? Just curious. --Awkwardboyhero 07:13, 11 July 2008 (UTC)

The most recent appearances I can think of are Elmo's World: Dogs, Elmo's World: Pets and Elmo's World: Cats. Someone else might know of something else more recent, or on Sesame Street proper. —Scott (talk) 08:28, 11 July 2008 (UTC)

Introduction

The article says that "Barkley was introduced in the now-obscure A Special Sesame Street Christmas." which was in 1978 -- no date, but I'm thinking it aired atleast after Thanksgiving). However earlier on the page it is said that he was around in season 9 (1977-1978) and he was in season 10 (1978-1979) in which on November 27, 1978 he was officialy renamed Barkley. So how could a 1978 Chirstmas special be his introduction? Am I missing something? -- Brad D. (talk) 22:22, 4 October 2006 (UTC)

No you're not. Nick added that sentence. Supposedly it was from this Wikipedia rant, where Towson claimed to be the original Barkley, but nothing in there indicates that the Christmas special was his debut. I'll do some re-arranging. -- Andrew Leal 00:07, 5 October 2006 (UTC)
