Behind the name[]
"Cantus" is a Latin word meaning "song." Link to a dictionary entry
It puts an interesting spin on "Let Me Be Your Song" at the very least but I don't know if it's worth putting in the actual article, so I'll just tack on this comment for now.--Hekima 18:24, 21 November 2006 (UTC)
- Cantus in general is of course rooted in music, so I'd say it fits as an additional note. --Cantus Rock 03:58, 22 November 2006 (UTC)
Species?[]
Listening to the It's Not Easy Being Green audio book, I noticed all the Cantus quotes were designated as coming from "Cantus Fraggle." He always looked more birdlike than Fraggle=ish to me (at least as a puppet; the animated version, in the one appearance I've seen, looked more like an estranged uncle of Wembley). Can anyone recall a source, outside of that text, for Cantus being a Fraggle? If confirmed, it would be worth adding, but right now, it sounds like they used it just because it was easy identification. --Andrew, Aleal 01:10, 9 February 2006 (UTC)
- Jocelyn Stevenson referred to him as a fraggle on the DVD interviews, and the animated version also gives him a fragglish design. -- MuppetDude 18:42, 2 May 2006 (UTC)
