The late Chet O'Brien?[]

The beginning of this article refers to Chet O'Brien as "the late Chet O'Brien". I wasn't aware that he was dead, and this article doesn't say when he died, or mention anything about his death. So did he really die, and are there any sources that he has died? --Minor muppetz 02:43, 22 October 2007 (UTC)

He died. Confirmation was added long ago by "Vard," as an insider (see also the bottom of Talk:Mr. Macintosh). But he didn't rate an obituary anywhere, which is why we don't have a death date (or a birth date), but either way, considering he was already an established dancer in 1930, he would be nearing 100 if he were still alive, and Vard's a reliable source (though he hasn't been around in ages). Any articles that begin with "the late," unless added by an anonymous user, indicate that the subject is dead, and sourced reliably, but no specific dates are available at that time. -- Andrew Leal (talk) 03:15, 22 October 2007 (UTC)
Just for the record, as further proof, both Chet O'Brien and his brother are listed in the "permanent memorial" section of the Actor's Fund (in their annual reports, downloadable online, and no doubt elsewhere), but again without any specifics. -- Andrew Leal (talk) 03:29, 22 October 2007 (UTC)
