It does however suggest that the German episodes numbered 85. And from a quick glance it would appear that they may have shown them out of order, possibly taking all 96 episodes and simply dropping a somewhat random 11. Can anyone research this properly? - That list appears correct to me. I once recorded all the German episodes from Pay-TV channel Premiere, which is where these episode descriptions come from. A few are incorrect though (example: "Horg Boober" should, of course be "Gorg Boober"), but the 85 episode thing appears right to me. Yeah, it was a pretty random selection as to which ones they left out. I wish they wouldn't have left any out at all, and I still don't know why. I've read the rumor somewhere, that it was due to the death of Hans-Helmut Dickow. Did we confirm that yet? Also, should we include the German episode order on the Wiki? - I agree. If any episode orders for the co-productions are left out (not sure about the dub series, since they translated everything more or less in order, it seems), it's because we haven't found it yet. Actually, Julian, Peter and I have been discussing a page for Uncle Traveling Matt's postcard segments. Would you happen to have any details on any specifically German segments, not seen in the North American version? Or any additions to the voice cast list? We're missing the German voices of Ma Gorg, Marjory the Trash Heap, Philo and Gunge, and any recurring or guest roles, should you happen to know of them. -- Andrew Leal (talk) 20:53, 6 October 2006 (UTC)
- Also can we clarify the names of all the puppeteers who worked on these segments, and who worked on exactly which? In Mike Quinn's WIKI Entry it says there was a husbands and wife team called sp Zigg and Eva, but what were their names? Emma 20:58, 6 October 2006 (UTC)
- I don't think we can clarify, just yet, unless Julian has access to episodes which actually credit these folks, which he might. The only place to ever mention "Ziggy and Eva" is that Mike Quinn reminiscence. That's our sole source for all the international puppeteer info, at this juncture. - I totally forgot about Ulrike's page. Yeah, she's a great source for German Muppet stuff, 'cause she's right there with us (a.k.a. an obsessed fan)... If you click on each episode, you'll get a title (in German) for the Travelling Matt segments; so at least those could be checked for changes that have been made between the German and other countries' segments. Would it also be of interest to remark that the show didn't include episode titles in its initial run on ZDF, but when they re-aired it in the 90s on other networks, titles were added after the opening credits for some (possibly only the first few) episodes? But since I don't know anyone who taped the early episodes from ZDF, only Eberhard Storeck could help confirm this. ---- Julian (talk) 22:40, 6 October 2006 (UTC)
- I'm sorry, I don't have any names for people that worked on Die Fraggles that aren't already on the list here. And all my Fraggle tapes are put away in boxes in Germany, so I can't even check for names. But if I remember correctly, no voice artists were credited, just Eberhard Storeck for translating and running that dub studio--I could be wrong though. There were a couple of German names in there, and I always figured those would've been substitute puppeteers or something. Sooooomeday, I'll get those tapes and transcribe the whole ending-credits, if no one beats me to it first. Furthermore, I think that we should really try to get ahold of Storeck online somehow. I bet that he would have all kinds of great info to contribute to this Wiki. - I just looked Dickow up in the (German) IMDB, and it says he died in February 1989. Die Fraggles ended in 1987. However, he has about one Tv credit for 1988. Emma 20:47, 7 October 2006 (UTC)
