At one point, Kermit actually "answers" the question why Rizzo isn't really in the movie, he jokes about the German article "die," he (kinda) officially bashes Muppets from Space, and of course Steve is doing awesome on the radio as well (alcohol references, Old MacDonald = choice of music when the frog & the pig spend quality time together, etc):
