Accent?

Relatively recently, someone added this passage: "Gobo speaks with a distinct Canadian accent, a reference to the show's filming location of Ontario, Canada." That "eh"s in Gobo's speech is undeniable, but considering our policy on sourcing, I kind of feel like we should find an actual source for the claim, or else rewrite it with some qualifiers (i.e. "Gobo occasionally peppers his dialogue with a Canadian-sounding "eh," a likely reference to the show's being filmed in Canada"). That statement would be an accurate presentation of a *surmise* from screen evidence (besides, I'm really not sure why Ontario need be mentioned at all, though admittedly I know nothing of Canadian regional accents). I know several folks here have been able to talk to Jerry Nelson so he would be the first person to ask whether it was a deliberate attempt at an accent, or if the "eh" showed up in certain scripts, or what. -- Andrew Leal (talk) 05:27, February 28, 2011 (UTC)

Agreed entirely. My edits were just a re-wording of a passage added by another user, but your's is much more accurate since, for now, we only have the show as a reference. I'll get to changin' that... -- Jon (talk) 05:56, February 28, 2011 (UTC)
